Within Reach

Within Reach is an organization in Omaha, NE, that sees a need for a united effort to reach the city for the ultimate goal of renewal and transformation by the work of Christ. Within Reach has a deep care for the city they are planted in and that appealed to Amenable’s desire to see goodness bloom through our own work. We have come alongside Within Reach multiple times with our goal being to support them faithfully however we can. They have hosted a variety of events to continually inspire and motivate the believers in the community to engage with the wider population. Amenable has had the opportunity to partner with the nonprofit through event branding ideas and work we have done with their State of the City Project, For the Good fundraiser, and Flourish event.
Providing branding ideas that distinguish & define
Having completed in-depth research on the city of Omaha, Within Reach put together a book titled, State of the City. The book is a collection of data on demographics, evangelistic efforts, community health, and solutions to problems that the city faces. It was given out to 500 churches, nonprofits, and small business leaders in Omaha in order to make a case for unity and the common goal of bringing people to Christ. The meaningful work that went into completing the research on Omaha needed to be presented in an equally meaningful way, portraying the locality Within Reach focuses on and their love for their city. We were able to assist in creating branding materials used for the event where the State of the City Project was unveiled. Among these materials were a mailing box, coasters, playing cards, and a letter detailing the story of the project.
Developing elements for each event brand
Our goal with the color palette was to create something wide ranging and bright, but also warm. The brand as a whole is optimistic and the color palette needed to support that. We incorporated both dark and light greens and oranges to communicate a natural connection to the community. For each individual event the materials needed to maintain continuity while being easily differentiated. The color palette is one element that remained unchanged when developing each event brand as its own idea.

The For the Good fundraiser took place on April 12th of 2024. It was an event focused on celebrating the work already accomplished and looking forward to further unity in efforts to see Omaha thrive. This event brought many from the community who believe in the mission of Within Reach to give and be encouraged by what the Lord is doing. As they prepared for this event, we assisted in developing branding for the event, creating marketing materials that would help get the word out prior to the fundraiser, and designing materials used at the event itself. Again, we incorporated elements such as the map of Omaha that would communicate to the attendees and invitees the importance of the city to the organization.

We also created the marketing materials for Within Reach’s Flourish summit, including brand materials, programs, slide deck templates, and sponsor sheets. This event was an opportunity to learn more about the goals of the State of the City Project, specifically working towards city renewal and revival. Throughout the day, Within Reach held various breakout sessions on topics like equipping younger generations for gospel ministry, mobilizing Christians to the work that needs to be done, and engaging with mental health in the community. The program for the event retained the same color palette as previous materials, maintaining consistency so that the brand remains recognizable. By delivering our pieces of each and every project for Within Reach on time, we developed a relationship of ordinary faithfulness.

Within Reach reminds us all of the importance of unity for Christ. Their ambitious missional mindset for Omaha is one we deeply value being able to participate in. Through the incredible research and work that went into understanding the city and developing the State of the City Project and book, we could truly see their heart for the people in their community. This is a unique approach to loving your neighbor that is not seen enough in our churches, nonprofits, and small businesses. We are all placed in our cities for a reason, and learning as much as we can about them is vital to engaging with them.
